Project concept proposal

This project is to improve and revamp the Malaysia Nando’s client site. Nando's is a restaurant chain originating from South Africa with a Portuguese theme. Founded in 1987, Nando's operates in 26 countries and on five continents. Nando's specializes in chicken dishes with either lemon and herb, mango and lime, medium, hot or extra hot peri-peri marinades. Side dishes such as spicy rice, fries (with either Chicken Salt, or Peri Peri Salt), coleslaw, corn on the cob, cous cous, portuguese rolls or side garden salads. Since the Nando’s already got a very clear identity art direction which is using the tick liner, solid color (African art) so I will keep this art direction as identity when I revamp the site structure.

The purpose of commercial website’s should be have the function in Increase revenue, visitor (hit rate), deliver the latest information to customer and consumer, to remind the audience the brand, to stimulate new consumer like the advertising. The audience won’t spend the time on something which is static and boring .The current site that I have make those mistake you can see all the thing look simply and uncompleted (no sincerity) in some current pages and all the information framing in a small box without any purpose make the audience feel uncomfortable. Since this is commercial website I think in main page no just have a welcome we also can have a highlight for new information that posted like event, career , delivery let the audience know what can I do in this site because no one will read through all the pages incase the site quiet interesting.

Nando's has locations in Australia, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Kuwait, Botswana, Canada, Cyprus, Fiji, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Lebanon, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Swaziland, the UAE, Uganda, the UK, the USA (Washington, DC) and Zimbabwe. It specializes in using the herb and spices to grille chicken, the uniqueness of Nandos’s is the customer can decide the peri-peri (spicy ) level and it also offers halal and kosher chicken. In Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan and the United Kingdom, a large number of their restaurants are halal. All their restaurants in Muslim countries are halal. One branch of Nando's in South Africa, in the Johannesburg suburb of Savoy, Savoy Kosher Nando's, is kosher, in addition to several in Israel.

For the long term goal the site will help build the relationship between the customer and company like delivery order and image brand. For short term goal may be we can have a event like art competition, save green something will increase the image brand company or I suggest it can provide online coupon self printing and member system to know audience information.

My target audience is about 20-50 because the dishes normally need to spend above RM15 compare with others fastfood restaurant you just spend RM10 can have a complete set dishes so my target audience age will slightly higher.

Competitor for Malaysia Primary-Kenny roger, Secondary-KFC, tertiary-chicken buffet, Chicken rice shop, Marrybrown, Mcdonlad.
